Barton Malow Vice President of Branding + Communications Dana Galvin Lancour has been elected President of the Society for Marketing Professional Services’ (SMPS) National Board of Directors. Her one-year term begins September 1. As President of the Board, Dana will play a key role in ensuring the SMPS and its members continue to positively impact marketing and business development in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries.

Dana stood out in an especially qualified and diverse candidate pool as the SMPS Nominations and Elections Committee received a record-breaking number of applications to board leadership positions this year.
SMPS is a community of marketing and business development professionals working together to move the AEC industries forward through networking, educational opportunities, and industry-leading research. Representing a membership of nearly 7,000 marketing and business development professionals throughout the United States and Canada, SMPS is the foremost organization dedicated to creating business opportunities in the AEC industry.
Dana is a dedicated member of SMPS, acquiring the prestigious fellow designation in 2013 after serving in various local, regional, and national capacities within the organization. She regularly speaks as a subject matter expert on the topics of marketing, communications, social media, employee engagement, and other areas related to business development.
Dana has been with Barton Malow for 15 years, providing creative and strategic direction to the enterprise’s brands while overseeing a team of marketing and communication professionals across North America. Her vision continually strengthens Barton Malow’s brand, reputation, and one-of-a-kind approach to construction management.
A lifelong Michigan native and passionate promoter of Detroit, Dana is a proud graduate of Leadership Detroit (Class XXXVII) and an active member of the Detroit Economic Club. Dana obtained her Bachelor of Science in marketing communications and MBA from Wayne State University.
