RICHMOND, VIRGINIA – Tyler Schmahl, an experienced preconstruction leader and project manager with more than 25 years of industry experience, has rejoined Barton Malow as a Senior Preconstruction Manager. He previously worked for Barton Malow as a Project Manager from 2005-2011. Schmahl is based out of the company’s Richmond office and will support the company’s preconstruction efforts as part of the Virginia team.
Schmahl comes to Barton Malow after spending the past six years with W.M. Jordan, where he served as Senior Project Estimator from 2013-2016 and Director of Estimating from 2016-2019, serving on notable projects that include Virginia Tech’s Holden Hall and the Colonial Williamsburg Art Museum. Prior to his time at W.M. Jordan, he held positions at Manhattan Construction and James River Iron.
Schmahl attended Virginia Commonwealth University, and has completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training for Managers, is Site Safety/OSHA 30 certified, holds NAVFAC/Corp. CQM certification, and First Aid/CPR certification.
