Veteran IT leader Robert Sayre, CISSP, has joined Barton Malow as its Vice President of Information Systems. In his role, Robert will focus on leveraging digital transformation to enhance building processes and client experiences.
“This opportunity marks a full-circle moment for me, bringing me back to my roots in construction,” says Robert, who began his career as a systems integrator in construction. “Barton Malow’s work and culture have long commanded my respect. Now, I’m excited to contribute directly to its legacy, developing cutting-edge systems that will propel us into the future of construction.”
Robert has more than 25 years of experience in IT leadership and strategy, having previously held similar roles with Amrock, Bedrock Detroit, Open Dealer Exchange, LLC, and Wayne County. Most recently, he served as the Chief Information Officer for Bedrock Manufacturing Company, which oversees the Shinola and Filson brands.
Robert has a demonstrated track record of business transformation. At Open Dealer Exchange, he was instrumental in developing a paperless car-buying solution. Additionally, while at Amrock, he collaborated with Rocket Mortgage to develop an eClosing paperless homebuying solution.
Robert earned his undergraduate degree in IT from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in IT Management and Information Technology from Oakland University. He’s a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Robert is based out of Barton Malow’s Southfield, Michigan, headquarters and reports to Senior Vice President of Business Transformation Lindsey Rem.
