The Barton Malow-Haselden project delivery team is honored to announce the successful completion of the Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital Project, a transformative endeavor that reshapes the skyline and the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Recently opened, the state-of-the-art medical care facility is now fully operational, providing expert healthcare services to residents within the surrounding Denver communities.
The facility includes approximately 230 total patient beds, including 176 universal care beds, 16 observation-specific beds, 19 postpartum/antepartum beds, 12 NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) beds, 10 operating rooms on one floor, and two C-section operating rooms. Patient rooms were designed with wall-to-wall glass to maximize natural light. The hospital also offers a full-service cafeteria and a centrally located courtyard, ensuring that patient and family comfort is considered a top priority.
Innovative Lean construction approaches such as prefabricated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) racking and digital pull-plan sessions allowed efficient construction.
Now completed, the Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital is a state-of-the-art medical care facility, providing expert healthcare services and enhancing the overall well-being of residents for years to come. This new facility stands as a testament to our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare and improving the lives of those in our community.
