On Tuesday, June 8, Barton Malow joined Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) doctors and administrators, elected officials, and community members at the site of Henry Ford’s Macomb Hospital North Patient Tower to celebrate the beginning of construction on the 225,000-SF, 160-bed patient tower addition at the north side of its campus.
The addition includes an 11,600-SF expansion of the hospital’s power plant, providing enhanced infrastructure to service the new tower and existing hospital house, and providing additional parking and other site improvements to facilitate safer navigation of the site. A two-story bridge above the existing north entrance will connect the new tower to the existing hospital.
When complete in 2024, the HFHS Macomb Hospital North Patient Tower will be the first private patient room hospital in Macomb County.
