Along with our project partners, Barton Malow joined Dominion Energy representatives on Jan. 25, 2022, at a ceremony to celebrate the topping out milestone of Phase 2 of the Dominion Energy Innsbrook Technology Center (ITC) renovation and lab addition project in Glen Allen, Virginia.
Phase 2 consists of a 77,000-SF, two-story addition to the west wing of the building. The event’s speakers included Kyle Young, Dominion Energy Capital Projects Manager, and Kevin Curtis, Dominion Energy Vice President of Transmission. In addition to the ceremonial beam signing and placement, site tours were also offered to mark the occasion.
In addition to the new lab, the entire 420,000-SF phased renovation will include a replacement of the atrium’s skylight system, substantial electrical upgrades, and more. The project is expected to conclude in December 2022.
The ITC has remained occupied throughout the renovation project due to 24/7 critical operations that are located in the Virginia facility.
