Crain’s Detroit Recognizes Barton Malow Chief Operating Officer as a 2024 ‘Notable Nonprofit Board Leader’

Barton Malow Chief Operating Officer Chuck Binkowski has been recognized by Crain’s Detroit as one of its ‘Notable Nonprofit Board Leaders’ for 2024. Leaders were nominated by colleagues or peers and selected by Crain’s editors after a review process.

Chuck is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Life Remodeled, a nonprofit organization based in Detroit that focuses on revitalizing neighborhoods through community engagement and improvement projects. Since its launch in 2011, Chuck has spearheaded annual capital campaigns for the organization. Over the years, Life Remodeled has undertaken 11 larger-scale construction projects. Chuck has successfully helped the nonprofit gain support from Barton Malow and other local contractors, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding construction initiatives.

In his role at Barton Malow, Chuck works to position the enterprise for further growth and transformation, focusing on execution, customer service, relationship building, and delivering superior results. Chuck also volunteers with Stoney Creek Church and actively participates in Vistage Michigan.
