Even a pandemic couldn’t stop Barton Malow from volunteering in and building up the communities where we live, work, and play! Our 7th annual Community Week took place Monday, August 3 through Friday, August 7, and included nearly 90 different virtual and in-person volunteer activities in the communities where we build.
Six hundred and fifty Barton Malow team members safely volunteered throughout 12 states, 30 cities, and from the comfort of their home. The newly added virtual activities included mapping for the American Red Cross, transcribing historic documents for the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian, and sending messages of support to the elderly, deployed military members, and frontline workers. Skills-based volunteering was also an addition this year with professionals from our MARCOM, Legal, HR, Continuous Improvement, Facilities, Learning + Development, and Safety teams providing specialized services to a number of local charities.
