Barton Malow’s Columbus Blue Jackets locker room renovation was high on details, both large and small, with the end goal of transforming the existing 2,900-SF space into one of the best player-specific environments in the National Hockey League.
Our Columbus-based project team carried out work over the course of three months, largely working to modernize this space within Nationwide Arena. In addition to audio/visual enhancements and general updates to the locker room area, our team also installed new, more durable player locker stalls, new flooring, and new color-changing accent lighting, among other features. We also installed new hydrotherapy tubs and renovated the shower and restroom area.
There’s even a special bathroom “grooming area” with storage units for each team member, something that will certainly come in handy during the NHL playoffs when it’s tradition for hockey players to grow out “playoff beards” to coincide with postseason runs.
