Henry Ford Health Destination: Grand Career Fair

In partnership with Henry Ford Health, the Barton Malow-Turner-Dixon (BTD) construction management team will host a job and resource fair on Tuesday, December 3, from 6-8pm at the Wayne State University Industry Innovation Center. The event aims to seek out local talent for the health system’s major Detroit campus expansion, also known as Destination: Grand.

Detroiters will be introduced to the transformative project through presentations from the Henry Ford Health and BTD teams while learning about potential long-term career opportunities in construction. Subcontractors, skilled trade partners, project collaborators, and support services will have tables with more information. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resume.

Destination: Grand officially broke ground this past September. The expansive development will include a new 1.2 million SF hospital and a 20-story patient tower across the street from the existing hospital in the New Center neighborhood. The project will advance 21st-century medicine, revitalize a critical community asset, and promote health equity. The hospital is expected to welcome its first patients in 2029. The Destination: Grand project is part of the Henry Ford Health Future of Health Development, comprised of several new construction projects. Construction will be led by the BTD team with a concerted effort to maximize job opportunities for Detroit residents.
