Luke Knochel
Senior Director, Project Controls
Luke Knochel began working at Barton Malow in 2013 as a Project Accountant. He’s since taken on various roles including Cost Analyst, Senior Cost Analyst, Project Controls Manager, and Senior Treasury Manager. His first project with Barton Malow – Little Caesars Arena in Detroit – saw Luke overseeing managed accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as change management, forecasting, reporting, and other tasks. This project greatly contributed to his understanding of the construction industry and its business practices.
Following the successful completion of Little Caesars Arena within the set timeframe and budget, Luke moved on to supervise the offices in Chicago, Columbus, and Nashville as a Senior Cost Analyst. He was later promoted to Project Control Manager for the then-Midwest business units. Luke then shifted to corporate finance, managing the shared service department and implementing new accounts payable software. He currently serves as the enterprise’s Senior Director of Project Controls, leading the Project Controls group and overseeing cost, schedule, analytics, business plan, and more.
