The Barton Malow Foundation

The Barton Malow Foundation was established in 1954. Since then, Barton Malow has donated time, money, and resources to charitable organizations within our communities. Aligned with Barton Malow’s core purpose, the Foundation’s goal is to build people, projects, and communities, stemming from a long history of company leaders with a shared common goal: an extraordinary dedication to community service.

Building Communities

In 2014, the Barton Malow Foundation began to expand its role in the Family of Companies and its presence in the community with a number of new charitable initiatives. That year, the Foundation hosted its first Building Communities Golf Classic fundraiser, raising almost $250,000 with the generous support of Barton Malow’s partners, subcontractors, and suppliers. The annual Michigan Building Communities Golf Classic is now a highly-anticipated, sold-out event.

To increase charitable giving across the country, Foundation fundraisers are also held in Baltimore, Maryland, Richmond, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida.

Community Week

Our team members donate their service and time as generous and compassionate community members where they work, live, and play. Our Community Week takes place the first week in August and gives all team members a chance to spend a day supporting various charitable organizations at more than 100 different pre-planned volunteer activities across the Family of Companies and country.

The Barton Malow Foundation’s 2020 Community Week was awarded the AGC in the Community Award by the Associated General Contractors of America for its focus on virtual volunteer opportunities during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was the fourth time Barton Malow has earned the AGC in the Community Award.
